Om Vikcykelguiden


Vikcykelguiden är framtagen för att hjälpa att förmedla styrkorna och beskaffenheten av våra cyklar. Utgående från våra erfarenheter och många samtal med våra kunder har vi identifierad 6 olika kategorier och bedömd cykelns egenskaper i tre olika nivåer.

Vi har bedömt cyklarna inte bara utifrån standardutrustningen utan tar även hänsyn till möjligheter du får med tillgänglig extrautrustning och tillbehör.


Kompakt

  • Cyklar som viker till mindre än 65 cm
  • Cyklar som blir 85 cm när dom är vikta
  • kompakta cyklar där man kan fälla ner styret eller motsvarande

Vikt

  • Cyklar som väger mindre än 10 kg
  • Cyklar som väger mellan 10 och 15 kg
  • Cyklar som väger 15 kg och mer

Växlar

  • Cyklar med 1-3 växlar är enklare och räcker för vardagspendling.
  • Har du längre sträckor med varierande terräng bör du har några fler växlar. Vanligtvis upp till 6.
  • Små cyklar kan vara lika avancerat som stora. Ett antal har fler än 6 växlar som ger dig helt enkelt större valmöjligheter.

Landsväg eller cykelbana

Här vill vi ge en indikation hur bra cykeln är lämpat för grövre grusvägar eller liknade miljöer gentemot vanliga cykelväger.

  • Cykeln går bäst i urbana miljöer med ok infrastruktur. Speciellt Brompton med sina hjul på 16 tum är hemma här.
  • Med något större hjul rullar man enklare över grövre underlag.
  • Välj en cykel med 20 tums hjul i större dimensioner eller även fjädring om du ska ut på stora äventyr.

Räckvidd


Räckvidd på en cykel är egentligen oändligt. Mycket beror på dina egna förhållande och önskemål. Använd cykel som daglig transportmedel eller för att roa dig.

  • Cykeln fungerar bra för att pendla dagligen.
  • Med denna cykel kan du pendla även längre sträckor.
  • Vill du komma extra långt välj en elcykel.

Bagage

  • Ta med en liten väska.
  • Frakta mer på en pakethållare och väska eller korg fram.
  • Med denna cykel kan du ger ut dig på långa äventyr med mycket packning.
